SQL Access process
This is how it works –
- User raises SQL access request in Fresh Service.
- Ticket gets assigned to group “Accelerant – Service Desk”
- Service desk agent can assign the ticket to themselves.
- Ticket status is automatically set to “Awaiting Approval” with a private note “Please wait to apply permissions changes until the Automated Approvals have been gathered”
- Approval email gets sent to user’s manager.
- After user’s manager approves approval email gets sent to James Carlson as an application owner/admin.
- After James approves another approval email is sent to Production Operations team (Michael Peters, Nilesh Chandode & Chris Mitchell) so that one of them can approve.
- After Prod Ops team approval finally, ticket is passed on to group Accelerant – DBAs to give the requested SQL access to the user.
I have already informed DBA team (copied) that - All SQL access requests tickets will be assigned to DBA group in Fresh service to implement the access permissions for the user mentioned in the ticket.
