Repository Monitoring refresh fails almost daily
Due to it generating too many requests to access the Sharepoint via the scheduled refresh.As a workaround failed reports are refreshed manually by Dev team.
When refreshing a report from SharePoint it calls the SharePoint API - the API can only handle so many requests in a given time period - reports should therefore where possible not connect to SharePoint. Ie BDX repository is now a table in 10.0.0.4 so connections should be swapped to that.

Status update as of 17 May 2023 from Rob Thoms - For the Repository Monitoring, The automatic refresh is currently blocked by the timeout issue from SharePoint which is why Rich Alderson is still refreshing this daily. The OFDM version of the Repository Monitoring is currently in the last stages of testing and should be in production in the next couple of weeks with only 6 bugs from the last test run, with this in mind we are focusing our efforts on getting the OFDM version out rather than fixing the legacy version.
Data load checks, Repository refresh, Client Money and any reports refresh can fail on daily basis

As a workaround failed reports are refreshed manually by Dev team
Migrate all reports to Financial Data Mart so that a single report dataset can feed data to multiple reports as opposed to current design where datasets and reports are mapped one-to-one. Reporting database should also be moved to a separate virtual machines not conflicting with the overloaded production server 10.0.0.4

Actions -
- Rob & Abhishek to provide documentation with screenshots for steps to refresh failed reports so that we can find some resource to have this access and support Production BAU.
- Rob & team to continue working on permanent solution of migrating reports to FDM so that multiple reports can be fed data from single dataset wherever possible.
- Liz & Pratik to work with Rob to confirm impact on Insightful reports at present and of the proposed solution.
Status update as of 12 May 2023 from Rob Thoms - Again, the refresh issues are not happening as frequently – we have also bought in Girish to deal with the BAU/production support issues and to deal with the manual refreshes. We have a further 2 more reports in test and waiting to be signed off which will reduce the load on the gateway/SQL server.

Only solution is remove refresh button from report and schedule it for a specific time. Waiting for Operations to confirm on this.

Much the same, the more reports we move over to the OFDM the fewer refresh fails we will get.
Production only alerts for PowerBi Reports
At present PowerBI Reports alerts coming into "Power BI Refresh Failure Notifications" TEAM channel are not purely for Production environment but for TEST workspace as well. The refresh failure notifications where not set up with the intention of production support this is an audit space for developers.
