Monitoring Virtual Machine Availability

I know a lot of us have begun to see these as white noise.

I've gotten 3 today and hundreds over the last few weeks. I've just updated the alert so it's not nearly as chatty and only focuses on very important machines. If/when you receive one of these alerts moving forward, be sure to verify which machine it is and ensure it is properly running and talking.

Use the Activity Log to verify who/what/when happened to the machine. If it was, in fact, reboot, we need to find the reason.

Finally, be sure to visit the Azure Alerts area and Change User Response for any alerts you work on, so they don't sit there forever.

If we allow these machines/alerts to go unchecked, Matt will have our heads (with good reason)

I'm going to continue working on this, and alongside Matt, to ensure we've got full coverage for our most important infrastructure.
